‘Girl Meets World’ season 3, episode 3 video: Has Riley created a cult of Jaxica?

We’re two episodes into “Girl Meets World” season 3, and with that, Riley Matthews is starting to find her place within high school. Is she altogether comfortable with it, though? That’s something that the promo below for Friday’s new episode entitled “Girl Meets Jaxica” touches on.

As we’ve seen in some promotional materials for the episode, Jaxica is a persona that Riley comes up with in order to feel more comfortable; however, what we had thought before seeing this promo was that this was something that existed online on the internet. We weren’t entirely so sure that it existed within the bounds of reality.

Apparently, Jaxica is going to become so popular that everyone is going to be emulating the look, which feels like something that is part anime and part steampunk character from a video game. We didn’t imagine this episode would be so wacky and imaginative, but that’s what the element of surprise is really for! Hopefully, this is a half-hour that really focuses on comedy, since that will help to counterbalance some of the sentimental stuff that we’ve seen on the show lately. Both the past two episodes, coupled with both “Girl Meets the Bay Window” and “Girl Meets Legacy” from last season, have all followed a little more of a serious through-line.

Hopefully, we’ll have a further sneak peek for “Girl Meets Jaxica” a little bit later this week; if nothing else, rest assured that we’ll have some coverage of some other episodes that are coming up this season by the end.
