‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 2: Should there be larger Sara / Nyssa storyline?

LegendsMrs. Carter: Is there still hope for a “Legends of Tomorrow” romance in season 2?

We could tell through the first season of the show that the producers really wanted to make something happen when it comes to a romantic subplot, but unfortunately for them it went almost nowhere. Ray Palmer being paired up with Kendra Saunders just never had any momentum or chemistry, and with her effectively taking off to try to have a normal life with Carter Hall, it feels as though there is no more story to tell here.

With that, let’s cast a focus over to another prospective pair instead in Sara Lance and Nyssa al Ghul. We know from flashbacks following Sara’s resurrection that there are still feelings there, and we also know from the time before Sara reunited with Oliver Queen in “Arrow” season 2 that there was a romantic history. Sara and Nyssa were the first prominent LGBTQ relationship in the “Arrow” universe, and we certainly know that fans would want to see more of it. There was real devotion there, and the way in which it was brought about never felt forced.

With that, it certainly would not feel forced to bring the relationship back, and we think that there is room to have it happen now. While there were a few sparks between Sara and Leonard Snart at the end of season 1, Wentworth Miller is leaving the show as a regular and will pop up instead across several different programs in the Greg Berlanti universe. Meanwhile, is it possible that Katrina Law could be available for a stretch of episodes? While you don’t want to give fans a relationship solely as a make-up for all of the deaths of lesbian characters on other shows, it’s something you should do if it is organic, appropriate, and worthy of an epic story. We like to think that Sara and Nyssa checks all the boxes.
