‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 7 spoilers: How the cliffhanger shooting factors in
The seventh season of “Rizzoli & Isles” is going to be kicking off its final season on TNT tomorrow night with two back-to-back episodes, and with that comes a valuable question: How are the writers going to tie things together? This is a show about friendship, about heroism, and about figuring out a way to get closure even in trying times.
One of the most trying times of all happened during the season 6 finale, when a gunshot rang through during the closing minutes. We have sense been left with a rather-dramatic cliffhanger and ultimately no real clue how the story will tie together. This is something that executive producer Jan Nash touched on while setting up the end of the story in a new interview with USA Today:
“The shooting will have repercussions on these characters’ lives … By the time we get to the end of the show, we will have really explored who these characters are — mostly who Jane and Maura are — what matters to them and what does that mean for them going forward.”
These two women will be tested, but we assume that in one way or another, they will find a way to press on. We know that the early episodes of the final season are going to work on offering some closure to the Alice Sands mystery, and the path beyond that remains a little bit more of a mystery. Yet, we are excited to see how it all pans out as we prepare for what could be an emotional conclusion.
