‘Reign’ season 3 finale spoilers: How will Adelaide Kane, cast close things up?
While Monday night marks the first new episode of “Reign” in two weeks, for the sake of this article, we’re going to take a little bit of a look beyond that into the soul of the season finale. This will set up the issue of whether or not Mary can truly take control in Scotland, whether she can figure things out with Elizabeth, and also whether or not the remainder of our supporting cast can survive. There will probably be at least some sort of teaser of season 4 buried within here, as well, even if the writers were not certain they would have one at the time of writing.
This June 20 episode is entitled “Spiders in a Jar,” and the first official synopsis via The CW is below and worthy of your enjoyment:
“Mary (Adelaide Kane) makes a bold move to defend her reign in Scotland, which results in a battle royale with her cousin, Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten). Lola (Anna Popplewell) is accused of a heinous crime and suffers the drastic consequences. Meanwhile, back in France, Catherine (Megan Follows) finds that Charles (guest star Spencer MacPherson) has returned a changed man after paying a price for his mother’s relentless quest for power.”
How much of France will remain a focal point following the end of season 3? That to us is one of the more interesting questions we’ve got, since it feels like there are only so many different things it can juggle at any one time. Now that Mary is in Scotland, you especially want to give that story its due, and plenty of opportunities in the spotlight to go along with it.
