‘Prison Break’ revival: Dominic Purcell injured, but will return to work
The “Prison Break” revival coming in the new year just hit a new roadblock, but don’t worry: It’s not going to impact the show airing in the spring or cause any long-term problems for the actor involved.
As first revealed by star Dominic Purcell on Instagram, he suffered some rather-painful injuries while filming the upcoming episodes in Morocco. Fox also released a statement (per TVLine), where they had the following message to pass along:
“[Purcell was] flown to a medical facility where he received treatment … we are happy to report that he is in great spirits and is expected to make a full recovery.
“He wanted us to express his appreciation to the fans around the world who have expressed their concern and support, and to reassure them that he will be back at work very soon.”
This has been an extremely busy year for Purcell, given that he is filming this series during what is a hiatus from his work on “Legends of Tomorrow,” which he is doing alongside his “Prison Break” co-star and collaborator Wentworth Miller. The second season of this show will start filming later this year; Miller is not set to be a regular on it anymore, but will pop up here and there alongside some other shows within the Greg Berlanti – CW universe.
