‘The View’ reportedly losing Michelle Collins from panel
The new season of “The View” will premiere this fall on ABC, and when the show comes back, it feels pretty clear that they are going to find a way to either sink or swim without Michelle Collins a member of the panel.
Per Variety, the co-host is not going to be with the show on the upcoming season, though this news really should not be too significant of a surprise given that she has barely had much of a presence on the past few months in the first place. Her pieces seemed to be a little less frequent starting around January. A spokesperson for the network did not necessarily confirm the news in a statement to the aforementioned website, but this is one of those situations where it is easy to read between the lines:
“Michelle is smart, opinionated and funny … She’s been a great addition to the panel this year. When we are ready to make an announcement about next season, we will.”
Now that we are saying goodbye to Collins on this particular show, there is one other question that you should be wondering here: Could this mean that she does more with “The Bachelor’s” own “Bachelor Live” show? We do think that Collins was the best guest on both it and “After Paradise,” since she seemed to be a big fan of the franchise and balanced her sense of humor with a love for the show that came across as genuine. Hopefully, her departure from “The Voice” will not mean that producers for the aftershow are less keen to speak with her.
We should know more about plans for the upcoming season of “The View” a little bit later this summer. We have become fairly used to this procedure at this particular point in time.
