‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13 spoilers: Could Owen, Amelia start a family?

The twelfth season of “Grey’s Anatomy” came to a close with some dramatic moments, but there was also a little slice of happiness courtesy of Owen and Amelia getting married … or at least assuming that the two of them got married. We never actually saw them read the vows, but we still like to feel this just wasn’t shown because it was a formality.

So what comes after marriage for these two? Children is inevitably the sort of thing that many people talk about, and all indications at present do suggest that this could be at least a subject of conversation between the two characters. For more on that, you don’t have to look any further than what Caterina Scorsone, who plays the character, had to say to TVLine when asked whether or not the two could move down that road, or if Amelia’s own history with miscarriage cause her to hesitate on the idea:

“I don’t know. And I’m sure Owen’s got his share of trauma that will make things difficult, too. But I think the intention is that they want to have children.”

We know that this is a show that does like to create a lot of drama surrounding every single personal development possible, but in this case, we really do hope that there is some sort of shake-up that makes things a little bit different. Sometimes, it’s okay to just see people happy, and having these two have that could be a nice way to counter-balance any particular heartbreak elsewhere.
