‘The Night Shift’ season 3, episode 2 preview: ‘The Thing with Feathers’
Tonight, “The Night Shift” premiered its third season with an episode that brought excitement … and then at the same time also brought an ending that was definitely incomplete. This is a two-part premiere, and next week’s installment entitled “The Thing with Feathers” will pick up where this story left off, and in the process give you a chance to see whether or not lives will be saved, and also what happens overseas at the same time.
If you haven’t seen the synopsis already for this episode, take a look at it below:
“In the second half of this two-part episode, TC (Eoin Macken) and Scott (Scott Wolf) work desperately to save a young boy and his mother who were injured in a car accident. With the boy’s life hanging in the balance, the team starts to realize there is more to the family dynamic than meets the eye. Meanwhile, Drew (Brendan Fehr) and Syd (Jennifer Beals), deployed overseas in Afghanistan, deal with the aftermath of shots fired in the OR.”
Interestingly, what NBC has done rather than give you a full preview for the entire season rather than just the next part of this story, which is good we suppose for giving you a sense that there is some crazy stuff coming up. Yet, without proper context, how much of this stuff really matters? That is why, at least for the most part, we tend to think that it is a much better move for these shows to avoid the whole “this season on” promos, since it doesn’t always give you that much of what you really want to see.
