‘Agent Carter’ season 3: Hayley Atwell, Dominic Cooper both want it still to happen
When it comes to TV stars at the moment, few are busier than Dominic Cooper and Hayley Atwell. The former is the star of the new AMC comic adaptation “Preacher,” while the latter has a new drama coming to ABC this fall in “Conviction.”
Yet, these two are making things more than a little bit clear that they would like to be back for another batch of “Agent Carter” episodes in the future. We certainly assumed that Atwell would, given that this character was a huge cornerstone in her career and is so beloved by the fans. Speaking on the subject at MegaCon recently (per the Radio Times), she made her thoughts more than clear:
“Yes, 100%. I love Peggy. I love the people working on this project. A privilege and an honour to bring her back to the fans.”
As for Cooper (who plays Howard Stark), he reportedly had the following to say per Digital Spy:
“The fact that people have got behind it and want to see it return means a huge amount to Hayley [Atwell] and James [D’Arcy]. I’m sure there’s people talking about it now. What’s wonderful about Amazon and other streaming sites, whereas that might have been the end of the road completely, now there’s hope that it might not be.”
We’ve seen the petitions, and certainly know that the fans are passionate are bringing it back. As for if it will, we’re still not sure, but one of the nice things about “Agent Carter” in particular, even as a canceled series, is that it still has a major studio out there in Marvel supporting it. We have wondered if they would ever end up creating their own platform for releasing content similar to a Netflix or an Amazon; for now, our advice is to continue supporting the show, and even if it doesn’t happen soon, there’s still a chance down the road.
