The new season of “MasterChef” is going to be coming on the air starting this Wednesday, and with that, we imagine that the show will continue to do what it does best: Give you intense, inspirational drama featuring home cooks all of the country.
Is this show going to do something altogether revolutionary over the course of the upcoming season? We really wish that the answer to this question was “yes,” but the reality here is that this is not too much information out there suggesting this. It has a format that works, and for the most part, the producers of the show just have a tendency to stick to it. They’re not really out to do anything risky, or something that will cause there to be raise eyebrows.
The biggest twist that the show is doing, if you have not heard before now, is that there is going to be a change-up when it comes to the judging panel. After spending several years with the show Graham Elliott has departed, and rather than giving you a permanent replacement on the panel, Gordon Ramsay and Christina Tosi are going to be getting a rotating panel of new faces who will be trying their hand at this show.
Do we think that this could in some ways be an audition for future seasons of the show? That remains to be seen, but we are interested in learning how this show plans to work its way through all of this.
