Is ‘Preacher’ episode 2 new tonight on AMC?

Last week, AMC introduced us to their crazy adaptation of the comic series “Preacher,” and we hope for all of you that it was every bit as crazy and exciting as you could have possibly hoped for. There was action, drama, humor, and one of the best character introductions we’ve ever seen with Tulip.

Unfortunately, there’s not going to be an opportunity in order to continue this show with all of its craziness on the network tonight. what’s the reason for that? It really just all traces back to this being Memorial Day Weekend. It’s a time in which many shows are off the air thanks to there simply being a wide array of other things that people can go out and do. Since there’s so few people who are working on Monday, Sunday feels like another Saturday, and the network does not want to run the risk of losing a huge chunk of its viewership in its second week.

It is probably for this reason that tonight, AMC is opting to simply re-air the pilot. Maybe you can take advantage of a few people who are looking for something to watch tonight, and even if nobody really checks out the first episode again, at least you’re saving the good stuff for when more people will be around.

Next week, the series will return, and at a new time in 9:00 p.m. Eastern where it will reside the rest of the summer.
