‘Homeland’ season 6 spoilers: Rupert Friend officially returning
We have another example now of one of television’s greatest rules: If you don’t see anyone dead and buried, odds are that they are probably still alive.
Therefore, don’t be surprised at all to know that Peter Quinn is still alive on the Showtime drama “Homeland” moving into season 6; of course, we imagine that the one emotion many of you are feeling is “relieved.”
Speaking per Entertainment Weekly, where this news was confirmed, show executive producer Alex Gansa had the following to say, with the first part being in jest:
“I hope he enjoys eating through a tube … How [Quinn] is gonna be dramatized this year is going to surprise people, and it may not be what you think.”
That may not be a heck of a lot to go on, but you may expect that after coming so close to death, this experience will have probably changed him greatly. Maybe he will view things in a little bit more perspective, or even cling more to emotional and personal moments rather than just the mission all of the time. You can argue that Quinn has lived more than anyone given what he has accomplished; yet, at the same time what does he have to show for it in terms of human relationships? The answer is “not much,” and this could end up defining him really just as much as anything could unless he finds a way to change things up and let his personal side shine through more.
The sixth season of “Homeland” is filming in New York City this year, and as previously reported, one of the big storylines is going to be what happens with a lame-duck President in office.
