‘Royal Pains’ season 8, episode 3 preview: Could Hank find love in Hong Kong?

At the end of Wednesday night’s new episode of “Royal Pains,” Boris instructed Hank that the time was right in order to see Carlos; however, the twist thrown in here was that he’s in Hong Kong. We’ve seen Hank make some international excursions before in order to see some of his patients, so why not do it one final time next week?

The title for the next installment is “Fly Me to Kowloon,” which is rather fantastic when it comes to the Frank Sinatra reference buried within. The synopsis below makes it fairly clear that Hank in turn could find more than just a patient halfway across the world:

“Hank happens upon a romance when he and Boris travel to Hong Kong. Divya treats an airplane repo man. Paige enlists Divya’s help on her journey to becoming a parent.”

Could we really see “Royal Pains” end with Hank trying to move to Hong Kong in an effort to get closer to someone else? It’d certainly be a big move, and something he really hasn’t done since the pilot for the show. However, at the same exact time it’d be a shocking end to this journey. Hank has found a community and a family in the Hamptons beyond even his own blood, so in our head we picture him staying there and finding a life that he loves.

Ultimately, we’re probably reading too much into this, but that happens when we’ve got such a short synopsis to work with. All we really hope for is that the show continues to be as fun and as fascinating as always.
