Is ‘The 100’ season 3 new tonight on The CW?

“The 100” has certainly taken you on quite a journey over the course of the third season, and with the show ending in such a way that suggests that things could be literally getting nuclear sooner rather than later. That is an incredible cliffhanger, but unfortunately one that is going to keep you waiting for a rather lengthy period of time.

Not only is there no new episode coming on The CW tonight, but there is not going to be a new one airing the week after … or even a month after. As a matter of fact, there’s not going to be another installment of the show until 2017! It’s a great series, but one that does take these incredibly long hiatuses thanks to there being a fairly short order that goes along with each season that goes on the air. We have not specifically heard the order just yet for the fourth season, but we imagine that it will be once more in the mold of 13-18 installments.

When will filming resume? Think later this year, and we assume at that point we are going to get a chance to speak further about potential new castings and story elements. Given how many important characters we lost over the course of season 3, we have to imagine that the show will seek out and hire some new faces to help fill out what remains of this world.
