For everyone out there excited to see the third season of “Girl Meets World” premiere a week from Friday, we’ve got yet another incentive for you to watch now … provided of course that you are a comedy fan.
According to a new report from TVLine, “Mike & Molly” star Billy Gardell is going to be appearing on the upcoming premiere episode, and will be playing a part that is essential the high-school environment: Football coach Bobby Campagnola. Are there a lot of football teams in New York City? We’re not really sure as someone who didn’t grow up there, but we know that this is not necessary a given for every high school out there, especially outside of the south.
We imagine that with this setting in mind, it’s possible that Gardell could return to the show down the line. As a fan of “Mike & Molly” it’s going to be great to see him already doing some work on another multi-camera comedy; hopefully, he’ll find another permanent gig at some point moving forward.
If you have not heard, the “Girl Meets World” premiere is going to be a two-part affair, with the second part of it airing on Sunday, June 5. There are going to be some small changes that come with the show moving to high school, but some things will remain the same. For one, Cory Matthews is going to once again be a teacher, and many of the same students will be around. As a matter of fact, we’re going to see more of people like Zay, who was a smaller player in season 2.
