‘Britain’s Got Talent’ lineup: Jasmine Elcock, Ana & Fia, Presentation School Choir, more in live show #5

Britain's Got Talent

Tonight, the final “Britain’s Got Talent” live semifinal show is here! There are nine more acts who are competing for a spot in the final, and we imagine that there’s going to be at least some competition for a spot here. The big concern is just that if you’re looking for variety, it’s hard to imagine that you’re going to get it here — the majority of the likely contenders here are singers, even though there are a few other people we appreciate.

We’re going to be back soon with a full review of tonight’s episode, so that is something that you should want to keep track of.

Jasmine Elcock – Another young singer. The only thing going against her is that she’s coming on a day after Beau Dermott advanced to the next round.

Presentation School Choir – Irish choir fighting to be second choir in live shows following 100 Voices of Gospel.

Craig Ball – Singer / impressionist. He was really the funny the first time around, and what hadds to his mystique in a certain way is that he is actually just an ordinary dude away from the show.

Ana & Fia – Singing mother / daughter. There’s already one parent singing act in the final; is there really room for another?

Trip Hazard – Dog act. Strangely, it’s the only competent dog act one year removed from Jules O’Dwyer and Matisse winning the season.

The Deep Space Deviants – Really, this is Davros and his Dalek. Funny for “Doctor Who” fans … but only to a certain extent. We’re not sure how we will sit through more than a minute or two of this guy.

The Togni Brothers – Really cool strength / acrobat act. It’s too bad that we don’t see them getting further given the competition on the night.

Elite Squad Royalz – This may be the worst name that we’ve ever seen for a group on this show. For one, you’re using the word “squad” (which is a pet peeve in 2016), and then you’re also replacing an “s” with a “z,” which is basically a pet peeve we’ve had since the beginnings of time.

Chloe Fenton – Young dancer. Can she do what Jack Higgins could not?
