‘Bones’ season 11, episode 17 video: Brennan questions her illness

There is another new episode of “Bones” airing on Fox Thursday night, and right away there is going to be one reason why this particular hour stands out from the rest: Brennan’s not going to have an opportunity to get to the Jeffersonian, or at east at first.

What’s going on here? It’s really so simple as the mere fact that Emily Deschanel’s character is under the weather, and is trying everything that she can in order to get herself in better fighting shape. However, things aren’t going too well, and all her tea seems to be doing is drawing some ridicule from Booth over the way it smells. It’s a funny scene, and we do understand some of Bones’ frustration here. After all, she’s the one with the healthier diet, and yet Booth seems to be doing perfectly fine and “fit as a fiddle” in his words.

By the end of this sneak peek, we get an introduction to the case of the week when Booth gets a call about not only a body, but also a witness who could have seen much of what happened. This hour is called “The Secret in the Service,” and with a title like that, you better believe that you’re going to be in for a story that is at least somewhat more political than what we’re used to seeing.
