‘Chicago Fire’ season 5 welcomes Miranda Rae Mayo as series regular

Chicago Fire -For everyone out there who is interested in learning about some of the (extremely-early) plans for the upcoming fifth season of “Chicago Fire,” we now bring you this: Stella Kidd will be back in a rather significant way.

Sources confirm that Miranda Rae Mayo, who plays the aforementioned firefighter and recent love interest of Severide (Taylor Kinney), has been officially promoted to be a series regular on the upcoming fifth season of the firehouse drama. This was a move that was in some ways anticipated from the moment that we saw Mayo hired to be a cast member, so we’re not entirely surprised to see that she is going to be getting that promotion now.

As for what is coming up for Stella and Severide based on the events of the finale, we imagine that it’ll be complicated given that what we saw was a pretty dangerous situation; yet, at the same time, we suppose that we Severide fans should just be happy that there is a love interest of his that is sticking around this show, and isn’t part of another portion of the franchise. We have definitely seen enough of that over time to make the world go ’round.

The fifth season of the show will more than likely premiere in either late September or early October; one way or another, we’re hoping to have some further news on the subject very soon. (We also hope that there will be some new recurring characters stop by, as well.)
