For everyone out there who enjoys Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD,” we hope that last week’s two-hour finale was enough craziness to satisfy many for you for quite some time.
After all, the sad news is both here and official: There is no new episode of the series airing on ABC tonight. Why didn’t the network decide to split up the finale over two weeks rather than airing it all at once? The simplest answer to that is really so simple as the fact that tonight, there is an epic conclusion to the new season of “Dancing with the Stars.” Over the course of those two hours, a new winner is going to be crowned.
With that in mind, we’re now left waiting to see what is going to happen when the fourth season of “Agents of SHIELD” comes on the air. For now, what we know for sure is that it will be premiering in either late September or early October, and in a brand-new timeslot to boot: Tuesday nights at 10:00 p.m. Eastern. It’s a full hour later than it usually comes on the air, and apparently, this is going to allow for some edgier storylines.
Story-wise, it could be a little while before we learn all of the intricate details surrounding what is coming up next. There is a mystery right now surrounding the hierarchy of SHIELD, and to go along with that, the same goes for the status of one Grant Ward, given that multiple incarnations of his body seem to be gone.
