‘Gotham’ season 3 spoilers: Show boss on Court of Owls and more

Gotham -Tonight on “Gotham,” the show gave us a whole chorus of craziness from start to finish. Jim Gordon left to find Lee Thompkins, Bruce Wayne has a new thread to investigate, and it seems that Hugo Strange and Fish Mooney still have some role to play.

While show executive producer John Stephens could not confirm 100% to Zap2It that we are going to be seeing both BD Wong and Jada Pinkett Smith once more on the show, he did make it clear that he would like to do more with those characters. Also, he made it clear that we could be seeing quite a bit more of the Court of Owls, who (could) be the real organization behind what happened to Thomas and Martha Wayne at the start of the series:

“We will dive much more deeply into them in Season 3 … The Court of Owls, this sort of illuminati group that’s been pulling the strings behind Gotham for centuries and might be the real culprits in the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne, among other things.”

We of course presume that there will be some other new villains and characters who surface over the course of the third season, but we’re glad that we are going to be getting a little bit more to boot of Fish and Strange, given that they’ve made such major contributions so far and it keeps the show from having that feeling of one season being entirely different from the next. This keeps things a little more continuous.
