‘Britain’s Got Talent’ results: Did Josh Curnow, Ben Blaque, Alex Magala make live shows
Tonight marked the final audition show for “Britain’s Got Talent,” but when the dust settled it was also much more than that. This show also contained the reveal of some of the top acts who will be performing in the live rounds. These results happen in the blink of an eye, so the reality here is that there are many finalists who are not on this list. These are just the most notable names to go through this show this season, at least to us.
Advancing – Presentation School Choir, The Garnett Family, Danny Beard, Mel and Jamie, Balance (the “Evolution of Dance” guy), Josh Curnow, Vox Fortis, Chris Ball (singing impressionist), Zyrah Rose, Davros (seriously), Alex Magala, Ben Blaque. There are of course also the Golden Buzzer acts, who we feel for the most part are probably the prohibitive favorites. Yet, there is no obvious frontrunner in the race this time around!
Not advancing – The Mimic Men, Ruby Murry (opera singer). Really, there weren’t too many super-memorable snubs in our mind. Most of the acts who didn’t make it either got very little screen time, or weren’t that great to begin with … minus the two we mentioned.
In the end, the reality here is that there are constantly some great acts who get shafted in favor of some bad ones, mostly for the sake of variety. Also, why the constant fake-outs like “we’re sorry, we’re sending you home … to make you practice for the live shows!”? We love David Walliams, but seriously.
The semifinals are going to start tomorrow, and it’s a good thing that tonight’s show were all filmed a long time ago since they wouldn’t have a whole lot of time to prepare.
