‘The Originals’ season 4 wishlist: An epic ‘Vampire Diaries’ crossover, more Claire Holt, Nathaniel Buzolic

Originals -The Originals” season 3 ended on The CW last night, and it did so in a way that was truly epic and then some. How else are you going to explain an episode that basically featured Marcel taking hold on most of New Orleans, and freezing up almost the entirety of the rest of our main characters? Basically, much of the onus now lies on Hayley in order to rescue most of our heroes and change the course of the season.

It’s a given that we want Hayley to bring the likes of Elijah and Klaus back from the other side; beyond that, though, we’ve got some of our other hopes for the season chronicled in the wishlist below.

1. An epic “Vampire Diaries” crossover – Sure, we’ve had some small crossovers, such as when Stefan came over to New Orleans or when Matt Donovan started to play a brief role with some “Originals” cast members. Before these shows end, though, we want to see them combine in a much more epic way. What if someone is needed from “The Originals” in order to turn things around for Damon and Enzo? Or, what if the Salvatore brothers end up being of use when it comes to saving Klaus and Elijah?

2. More Claire Holt and Nathaniel Buzolic – We don’t care how it happens; just make it happen! They remain two of our favorite characters from this entire universe.

3. A new Big Bad – Maybe Marcel is this to a certain extent, but we want someone else who can match Klaus as a puppetmaster and a warrior. Have them be played by someone who is physically imposing, as well.

4. Set up the endgame for the series – What do the producers want us to get from Klaus’ time in New Orleans? Now is the time to start thinking more about legacy, since we don’t quite know when the show is going to come to a close.
