‘Teen Wolf’ season 6: Dylan O’Brien in talks for new movie, and internet rumors swirl

There are certain shows with a fan base so passionate, they follow almost every move that you make in order to draw some conclusions from them. One of these said fandoms just so happens to be the group behind MTV’s “Teen Wolf.” They love the show, so this is far from a bad thing.

However, there are at times rumors that tend to spiral out of control without too much substance behind them, with the latest one being the notion that Dylan O’Brien is in talks to join a new movie entitled “American Assassin.” This news was shared recently by Entertainment Weekly, with a note that production on this film would start a little bit later this sumemr.

Does this mean that “Teen Wolf” production is officially off the table for Dylan? Far from it. Chaos has really formed around season 6 for a number of reasons, from the departure of Arden Cho to there being no clear indication just yet as to when the show is going to return. There was also a lot of speculation about whether or not Dylan’s severe injuries while working on the latest “Maze Runner” movie would interfere with filming in some shape or form.

Ultimately, nothing has been officially confirmed one way or the other when it comes to Dylan’s status in season 6. We don’t get the sense that the show wants to work without him, so we want to believe that even if it is a smaller role, we’ll continue to see the character in some capacity.
