The season finale of “Arrow” (entitled “Schism”) is coming your way on Wednesday night, and the more that we see on it, the more we realize in turn that we’re building towards a heck of a conclusion as the battle between Oliver Queen and Damien Darhk is coming to a head.
The real thing we’ve come to know about Damien at this point is that he really doesn’t seem to care anymore about his own life, and that makes him dangerous beyond reproach. He literally just seems interested in having the world burn from the inside out. The extended preview below shows him specifically mentioning to Oliver that even if he kills him, it’s really not going to mean a whole lot since there are still some missiles careening towards Star City and many other parts of the world.
Probably the best part of the preview is Oliver seemingly uniting Star City against Darhk, and even forming an army of sorts to try and stop them. This shows more of his strength as a potential political leader, so who knows? Maybe he still ends up becoming Mayor of the city after all. It’s probably better than the rather long period of time that he’s spent now relatively unemployed since Ray Palmer came in for Queen Consolidated.
Oh, and we do firmly believe that there’s going to be a cliffhanger that is coming in here for the fifth season. We’ll just have to figure out when that first surfaces.
