‘Blindspot’ finale spoilers: Jaimie Alexander on where Jane goes from here
To say that the story of Jane Doe on “Blindspot” was a rollercoaster and then some would be an understatement. She found herself in a position where she got behind the wrong person, and while she may not have killed Mayfair directly, the blood is very much on her hands moving forward into the finale.
How is Jane coping with this now? Jaimie Alexander really describes it simply to Entertainment Weekly:
“It’s sickening, because she’s thinking, ‘Why would I want to kill somebody?’”
While Jane continues to process some of what transpired, it could actually be Weller more than anyone else now who helps to set the stage for the upcoming second season. Specifically, we’re going to see him learn the truth about Taylor Shaw, which may not be Jane as we so longer thought, and also how this carries over to the second season. Apparently there are a few more twists that are coming that could change things up in a very big way moving forward?
Could this show adopt a formula that is somewhat similar to “The Blacklist,” where there is really not one season of the show that has much in common with the next? It’s something that for the time being, we at least have to consider as a possibility. That show has made being a chameleon work for it, and with someone so mysterious like Jane at the center here, it’s possible that the same thing could turn out successful.
Stay tuned, as we plan on having much more in the way of “Blindspot” news as time passes.
