‘The Last Ship’ season 3 spoilers: New details, promo tease what lies ahead

The new season of “The Last Ship” is going to be coming your way on Sunday, June 12, and there are going to be so many changes now that Chandler is in a new position, Michener is in power, and the show is looking to go even more on a global scale than ever before.

You can see a brief tease when it comes to what to expect in the promo below; basically, it’s going to be more action, more drama, and some really big stories for some specific characters. Also, the synopsis below gives a few more specifics:

“Following the epic second-season cliffhanger, the highly anticipated third season finds the crew of the Nathan James shifting their attention to Asia after President Michener hears rumblings that the Chinese leader, President Peng, has been hoarding the “Scott cure” instead of distributing it to the people in the region. Michener sends Chandler to a global summit to investigate this allegation, as well as rumors of a possible mutation of the original virus that has caused a fresh outbreak in Japan. If the mutation has occurred, and Asia has not been protected, the consequences for the world are dire. And with Rachel Scott shot in the season two finale, and her fate as yet unknown, hope is in low supply.”

We’re hopeful that Rachel will find her way out of this one way or another, especially when it comes to finding a way to add a little bit of hope to what at times has been a hopeless world. Nobody understands the cure better than her, or how to spread it around for the sake of making the world a better place.
