‘Shark Tank’ season 8: Premiere date speculation and more for ABC sensation

Shark Tank -Tonight, the Sharks are entering the “Shark Tank” for one last time this spring, and in the process, we imagine that they’re going to hear a wide array of interesting pitches and also make some competitive deals. Given that this is the last episode we’re going to be seeing, we’d feel rather disappointed if the show ended with a bunch of businesses that don’t end up getting a deal.

So when is season 8 going to begin? Think along the lines of late September, given that this is when the majority of the past seasons have premiered. It’s remarkable that the show was barely renewed after its first go-around years ago, but has since found a home for itself and a format that really works. We credit marketing, a lack of Friday competition, a smart format, and the arrival of Mark Cuban (a marquee name) in part for the show’s success.

As for whether or not there’ll be any changes for the eighth season, we know that Chris Sacca will have a larger role after being more of a Guest Shark this season; he probably won’t be in every episode, but he’ll be around more often.

As for what this means for the remainder of the Sharks in the Tank, we’ll just have to wait and see. We would like to think that they would all be back, even if over the past year or two it’s become much more of a game of Musical Chairs.
