‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 spoilers: First look at ‘Blood of My Blood,’ ‘The Broken Man’

LogoThere is a new episode of “Game of Thrones” coming up on HBO Sunday night, but for the sake of this article, we’re taking a further look into the future at the sixth and seventh episodes of the season. In these installments, we’re going to have a chance to see a larger story play out involving Sam’s family, Jaime versus the High Sparrow, and a variety of other different things here and there.

The two synopsis below, complete with titles and dates, are probably the most information about these episodes you’re going to get in advance.

“Blood of My Blood” (Sunday, May 29) – “An old foe comes back into the picture. Gilly (Hannah Murray) meets Sam’s (John Bradley) family. Arya (Maisie Williams) faces a difficult choice. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) faces off against the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce).”

“The Broken Man” (Sunday, June 5) – “The High Sparrow eyes another target. Jaime confronts a hero. Arya makes a plan. The North is reminded.”

These are hardly the most descriptive synopses in the world, but did you really expect anything from HBO? This is what they do!

For those of you who are huge ratings nerds like us, one of the biggest things to note here in advance is that the May 29 episode is probably going to be the lowest-rated installment of the entire season. More often than not, the episode that airs in the midst of Memorial Day Weekend has the hardest time being remembered. If there is a drop, we certainly expect the show to recover in a big way by the time we get around to June 5.
