Is “Girl Meets World” airing episodes out of order once again in season 3? This is something that we had some major complaints about in season 2, mostly because at times you could see the cast appearing younger in one episode than the one that aired before it; also, there were storylines such as the Maya – Lucas – Riley love triangle that were not mentioned for many weeks, even though in real life we’re sure that they probably would have been addressed at some point.
In looking at some of the upcoming episodes, we’re at least getting a sense that the Disney Channel is at least trying to keep some episodes in order, at least to a certain extent.
As previously reported, the two-night “Girl Meets High School” premiere is going to air on Friday, June 3, and it will be followed up with an episode airing on Sunday, June 5. Following that, we’re going to have new episodes airing in succession for the rest of the month. Per some listings over on Zap2It, here’s the rest of the order.
June 10 – “Girl Meets Permanent Record” (which was technically the fourth episode filmed)
June 17 – “Girl Meets Jaxica” (technically the third episode filmed)
June 24 – “Girl Meets Triangle” (we’re now back in order)
So yes, the show is airing some episodes out of order, but in the grand scheme of things, this really is not as bad as it could be. The majority of the stories are at least airing reasonably close to their original order; hopefully, this will be a trend for the entire season.
