‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13: Premiere date speculation and more for Ellen Pompeo series

Grey's AnatomyTonight, the journey for “Grey’s Anatomy” season 12 will be at an end, but in this show’s true spirit, the carousel is going to keep on spinning for at least a little while longer.

ABC has already renewed the show, starring Ellen Pompeo, Justin Chambers, and so many more, for a thirteenth season; not only that, but they’ve also already revealed that it will be airing in the same exact timeslot Thursday nights at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. It’s funny that some people were not happy when the show was first moved to this spot, but it has really leveled off and become the network’s most-successful show once more over a decade into its run. Astounding.

Will it be the same show that many know it as right now? That is still a question, given mostly that there are some cast negotiations with many stars who are on expired deals now. We presume that it’s possible one or two people could depart, but the majority of them will be back. The brilliant thing here is that this is a show that has really made a name for itself when it comes to balancing out such an enormous cast. Even when someone leaves, someone else steps up to the plate and the show finds a way to press on.

Ultimately, we’ll see what happens over the course of the summer — rest assured that we’re going to have quite a bit in the way of coverage the moment the episode ends.
