The CW 2016 Fall Schedule: ‘Supernatural’ season 12, ‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’ season 2 on the move
When you look at The CW’s fall schedule, we’re not sure that there is much in here we would consider to be an enormous surprise. After all, the majority of the flagship shows are in the same spots that they once were, and when it comes to “Supergirl,” it’s just coming right over from where it aired on CBS.
Without further ado now, let’s go ahead and give you the lust list of where things are going to air.
Mondays
8:00 – Supergirl (coming over from CBS)
9:00 – Jane the Virgin
Tuesdays
8:00 – The Flash
9:00 – No Tomorrow (new series)
Wednesdays
8:00 – Arrow
9:00 – Frequency (new series)
Thursdays
8:00 – Legends of Tomorrow
9:00 – Supernatural
Fridays
8:00 – The Vampire Diaries
9:00 – Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
The clear winner here, at least to us, is “Jane the Virgin” given that it is likely getting here its best lead-in that it has had ever since first premiering on the air. Meanwhile, the big loser here is “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.” Despite star Rachel Bloom winning a Golden Globes, we have a hard time envisioning how this show fares well in that Friday timeslot, especially given that many of its viewers are probably out on Fridays.
As for “Supernatural,” its audience is probably enough of a self-starter that it doesn’t really matter so much where it airs. We are somewhat surprised that “No Tomorrow” and “Frequency” are the series premiering this fall over the buzzy “Riverdale,” but maybe The CW didn’t want Greg Berlanti to start to take over their entire schedule right away or something.
