‘Empire’ season 3: Show boss on Rhonda, Anika’s fate

On the second season of “Empire,” we had a great, crazy episode that had a variety of different surprises from start to finish, but one of the biggest ones of course had to be the big fight that featured front and center the characters of Rhonda and Anika. These two came to blows, and in the end, we saw the two of them careening off the balcony. It definitely has to be considered one of the craziest endings that we’ve had a chance to see over the course of the show so far, and it definitely raises a few questions regarding where the show will go from here.

So are these two officially dead and buried? Don’t be so sure of that just yet. Speaking to TVLine, showrunner Ilene Chaiken made it clear that nothing is necessarily certain for viewers as enter this long hiatus:

“I certainly know the answer to that question, but for the purposes of our conversation, what I’ll say is it sure as hell looks that way. All we have to go on right now is the sound of that scream and the look on Andre’s face — and that, to me, says somebody went over that railing. And it would be ludicrous to say that would be a survivable fall! [Laughs] We talked about how high up they are – and we agreed it was somewhere around 30 stories. Assuming one of those ladies went over, she’s in for it.”

Could there be some odd ways that they could survive? Surely, and most because this is “Empire.” If there is a show where something really strange and off-the-rails could happen, this is probably it. We’re going to have more news on it in the near future, so be on the lookout!
