‘Chicago Fire’ season 5 wishlist: Crossovers, romances, and so much more

Chicago Fire -The fifth season of “Chicago Fire” may be over now, but isn’t there a lot of interesting stories still to come? We like to think so, and that is what this particular article is all about! We’re going to be looking ahead to the fifth season for a minute or two, discussing not only some of what it entails, but also what we really would like to see take place by the time we make it to the end of it. There are no spoilers ahead; just speculation.

1. Keep Dawson and Casey together – Seriously. It’s been long enough. Let’s go ahead and just keep these people together. Why else would you break them up at this point? Having them together and working through starting up potentially a life with Louie is exciting, and it could be a nice anchor for what is the next era of the show.

2. Pair Severide with someone, and have it stay – Really, his love interests have become somewhat of a revolving door, and we’d really like for things to stay grounded for a little while. Is that too much to ask? We certainly don’t think so.

3. Some new arcs for other characters – How about we give Brett something exciting and new? She’s one of several characters who could use a new storyline to help to set them up well. We’d also love to see Boden have something that is a little bit more family-oriented this time around.

4. Of course, crossovers – Is there a way to incorporate this show and “Chicago Justice” that’s exciting? We think so, and we’d love to combine that universe and this one in a way that is interesting and exciting.
