‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 17, episode 23 (finale) spoilers: Mariska Hargitay, Brad Garrett, and ‘Heartfelt Passages

Last week’s new episode of “Law & Order: SVU” began the investigation into the actions of Brad Garrett’s character of Gary Munson, and to go along with that, set the stage for what is probably going to be a finale that is more than a little bit epic. We’ll get a chance to see a few more developments play out, since there is a lot going on right now and hopefully get a few things tied up as well.

For now, though, let’s go ahead and share the synopsis below … which includes a rather lengthy list of guest stars:

“When the investigation of Corrections Officer Gary Munson (guest star Brad Garrett) deepens, he and his union take drastic actions that threaten the lives of ADA Barba (Raul Esparza) and the SVU squad. Also starring Mariska Hargitay, Ice T, Kelli Giddish and Peter Scanavino. Also guest starring Andy Karl, Karina Logue, Peter Gallagher, Robert John Burke, Kevin O’Rourke, Jack McGee, Bill Duke and Bill Irwin.”

We certainly imagine that Barba will once again take center stage on this finale, but he is far from the only person who will. The promo below makes it very clear that it is Dodds who is in serious danger, and Munson is going to really prove himself to be one of the major forces to be reckoned with over the course of this finale. It’s hard to say where the story will go, or what the cliffhanger will be, but SVU always has something good planned.
