‘NCIS’ season 13 finale: Show boss on ‘is Ziva still alive?’ chatter
Given what we know about “NCIS” and the character of Ziva David, she really couldn’t go out like she apparently did in the season 13 finale … right? It’s understandable to want to think that, mostly because we knew this character to be incredibly smart, tough, and resourceful. To have the character die is really not the way that many people wanted to see her story end.
So let’s go ahead and pose the question: Is she really dead? We never saw the body, so there is that floating around out there as evidence. Also, executive producer Gary Glasberg gave TVLine a little bit more insight into some lines in the episode that suggested that it’s possible in theory that she somewhere out there alive:
“We put tremendous time into choosing some of the dialogue Tony says. I would say to stick with, ‘You gotta believe what you gotta believe!'”
We’re not sure how much Michael Weatherly is going to be showing up on the series moving forward, given that he now has “Bull.” Meanwhile, Cote de Pablo has a potential new project now for Syfy, and she could also be busy even if “NCIS” did want her back for something. This may be one of those things where all of us as viewers of the show may need to create our own ending in our head.
Season 14 for the show will premiere on CBS this fall; we’re sure we will get an update here or there on Tony and his daughter Tali, given that he will probably remain close friends with the other team members.

Don’t care about GG’s statements. To me, Ziva is dead and has been for a while now.
Other question: Would it be possible to address the fact that Mark Harmon is going to do a movie in September? I mean, that’s around the time for the next season of NCIS. How will they be able to make it possible for him to appear on NCIS when he’s somewhere else shooting a movie? And don’t mention Tess, she’s not a good character nor would she make a good team lead.

If GG wants to address Ziva’s servival in the future, it can be done with a simple photo of Tony,Ziva, and Tali together wishing the NCIS team holiday greetings. Nothing more is necessary .

If you want to save face Glasberg you give us a 3 episode ark and you bring both Tony and Ziva back. You clear this up and you appreciate the fans that stuck with you who deserve this. You sold these characters as family and to just accept Ziva dead with no body makes no sense. And the fact that Mcgee and Gibbs and Abby acted like the doesnt care? It’s just so wrong on is many levels. The real question is why the head of CBS didn’t care enough about the fans and ratings ti five this shoe the Riva happy ending the fans deserve. WHY?

Because the Tiva fans did not deserve it. Because the Tiva fans are NOT the majority of all the NCIS fans.

Really, if they’re not the majority of NCIS fans….why the high ratings for Tony’s finale???

What is an even bigger question is why Shiva the second episode of a two episode arc (Shabbat Shalom was the first episode) had the highest viewership numbers for both live and live +7 in the history of NCIS? 22.86 million watched live and 26.1 million watched live +7. Shabbat Shalom had 21.11 million live and 24.9 million live+7. Shabbat Shalom was so awful that a week later more than a million more viewers showed up for that horrid second episode. The efforts that people will make to watch something so disgusting is just amazing. He’s just upset because Cote got invited to Michael’s party to watch the finale and his invite got lost in the mail.

Obviously these episodes caught the interest of some non-regular-viewers back then but the Impression they got from those episodes must have been soooo great that they decided to not continue watching the show. You can try it all but neither Ziva nor Tiva were the reasons for the show to be #1. If that would have been true, more people would have tuned in to watch CdP’s mini series… which in case you forgot FLOPPED big time!

Are you really so obsessed with Tiva that you think you’re the majority? The finale was promoted to be Weatherly’s last episode after 13 years. Robert Wagner appeared. You cannot say to 100% that the show had more views for this episode because of Tiva. It was clear that CdP would NOT show up or make a guest appearance so nope. You Tiva obsessed people might be the loudest and most rude part but definitely not the majority because if that was true, NCIS wouldn’t have any viewers at all anymore. Goodbye and have fun living in fantasy land. Enjoy your stay there. I prefer the reality for myself.
