‘NCIS’ season 13 finale reaction: Michael Weatherly’s farewell; is Ziva dead?
Tonight, “NCIS” is giving us a grand send-off to the great character of Tony DiNozzo as played by Michael Weatherly. Will it provide the fitting end to so many great seasons for the character? that’s something we’re going to give our take on while the episode is airing. With this being such an important episode, it requires some up-to-the-minute reaction!
8:14 p.m. – Well, it really didn’t take very long for the show to throw a gut-punch in our direction. Maybe it’s a trick and she’ll turn out to be alive later, but as of right now, it clearly looks like the show killed Ziva off-screen. A great performance by Weatherly through most of this, and a heartbreaking end to the Cote de Pablo arc. This could be part of what drives Tony the rest of the episode.
Also, is Fornell going to get any better? We don’t want to minimize his state at present, either.
8:20 – Okay, here’s something we really didn’t see coming: Tony and Ziva have a daughter! Why didn’t she ever say something? If there was a reason for him to leave the team, this could be it…
8:30 – The daughter’s name is Talia a.k.a. Tali. She and Tony are adorable.
8:36 – We wanted to see Michael have farewells to many different characters, and with that, it’s nice that he and Palmer are getting a few moments in here. Nice.
8:40 – Fornell’s going to be okay it seems. In other words, at least there aren’t two deaths happening tonight.
8:45 – Tali knows that Tony is her dad. Cue EVEN MORE EMOTION.
8:52 – We’re starting to move in the acceptance phase of Ziva’s death; the team and Tony certainly got their revenge on Kort, we’ll say that much. Tons of bullets. Rare for a crime show on network TV.
In the end, we feel like Tony is leaving for the right reason, and that is to be there for his daughter, someone who relies on him in a way that nobody else has on the show. We’re still crushed about Ziva, and overall, this was an emotional, heartfelt affair. Thanks to everyone for watching along with us; hopefully, we’ll see Tony again someday.

Ziva being dead means no closure. I don’t think she’s dead and neither does Tony that is why he is going to Isreal then Paris. NCIS killing off Ziva isy last straw. I won’t watch again

today is infact a very sad day, i love the show and through the loss of kate and gain of ziva i was skeptical but ended up loving ziva 1000x more than kate and when they wrote out ziva i accepted bishop because we still had tony the best by far character at least in my opinion i know many people out there will disagree seeing as abby and gibbs both are very very loved but very special agent anthony DiNozzo was my absolute favorite and not just because he was comedic relief and a complete womanizer (in the beginning) but his character’s evolution as the show progressed was also the richest also only my solitary opinion but none the less i am considerably less excited for season 14, less excited then i have ever been for a new season of ncis infact there are only a few reasons I will still tune in and those would be 1. ducky and palmer i know what your thinking out of everyone on the show you are a fan of palmer. yes in fact i love palmer and i loved palmer “the autopsy gremlin and tony’s relationship and loved that in tony’s swan song they had a big moment together as fathers it seems tony will still be needing palmer for secret campfire meetings all about his newfound fatherhood by the way wasn’t tali just adorable and yes i’m a straight man and i have no problem saying that she was a very cute kid and her and tony were precious playing together, sorry i got a little off topic for a minute there but ducky and palmer are one reason i will keep watching. 2. I am hopeful and excited that delilah will say yes to our very own elflord and I am hoping newly very special agent timothy Mcghee will carry on some of tony’s legacy 3. It looks like we will be getting two new agents this time not just one and i happen to kind of like the british guy we’ll see just how much when we learn more about him next season the woman fbi agent however sara clarke I am indifferent about and with mcghee poppin the question it looks like newly divorced ellie bishop will be the one we look to for romantic thrills only because i don’t know the relationship status of the two new agents. So that is why i will begrudgingly still watch the show but about the finale tonight I am ecstatic about tali but was heartbroken ziva i presumed dead it would have been even better if mossad agent david who is known to be a major bad ass and overall hard person to kill survived the farmhouse burning down stashed tali to ensure her safety and in ziva fashion disappeared for tali’s safety and to destroy the palestinian man who tried to kill her and tali after ensuring her and tali wouldn’t be targeted again she reunites with her daughter and ex-partner and love of her life and they decide to give being a family a go leaving the show as regulars but having the ability to still drop in on the team and lend a hand as well as down the line in a special 2 hour episode being able to see the pure awesomeness of ziva in all her glory in a beautiful wedding gown and DiNozzo, Tony DiNozzo in a tux where everyone gets together for their wedding ahhh so so sad that won’t be happening they should have ended the show with the team locating kourt somehow he gets away but tony catches up to him alone one on one mono e mono they struggle and somehow tony loses or is shot and injured “not killed tho” and in true ziva style ziva steps out of the shadows with a clean one shot to the head “like with ari” she reveals she isn’t dead and saves tony all at once with a clever line like “you have a daughter now tony, you cant go around getting shot anymore am i going to have to stick around and make sure tali’s abah is always safe” and they kiss skip to back at the navy yard where ziva, tony, and tali say there goodbye’s as they start their lives as a true family and gibbs telling “rule no 113 once family always family, you two, sorry you three always have a home here stop by whenever you feel like it and tali watch out for you dad here he’s a great agent but you are more of an adult than he is!
