‘Empire’ season 2 finale spoilers: Jussie Smollet teases emotional end

Is Jamal really done on “Empire“? Is that character really dead? We know that Jussie Smollett really wants you to think so, judging that he posted a message on Twitter last week acting like he was leaving the show.

With that said … we don’t really think he’s gone. People tend to survive gunshot wounds rather often on TV, and can you really imagine this world without Jamal? It’s hard, and there are so many more complications that are brought into the mix with him staying alive. Take, for example, how Lucious is going to feel about his son effectively taking a bullet for him.

As you would anticipate, Smollett continued his secretive ways when speaking to “Entertainment Tonight” while at the Fox upfront presentation, offering up only the following teaser in terms of what to expect:

“It’s handled in a beautiful way … I think there’s going to be tears and [there’s] also going to be a lot of happiness. So you know, it’s OK. It’s going to be great. It’s a phenomenal finale and all questions are going to be answered Wednesday at 9/8 Central, only on Fox.”

Whatever happens in one way or another will probably help to set up a third season, and we are definitely anticipating a huge cliffhanger coming out in here at some point. Just consider that this is a primetime soap for one, and it’s a genre that loves these sort of endings. Also, season 3 was ordered long ago. The writers and producers had plenty of time to plan!
