‘Jane the Virgin’ season 3: Premiere date speculation and more for Gina Rodriguez series
Tonight, “Jane the Virgin” had its season 2 finale, we only hope that this finale was everything that you would have hoped for and then some. The good news for Jane is that she did get married to Michael! However, the made news is that a certain mole reveal threw his life into jeopardy.
Is he really dead? We really have a hard time believing that, mostly because of the nature of this particular show. Our general rule with season finale deaths is that unless we don’t see someone physically buried in the ground, we have to think that they could find a way to survive. This is especially true when they are a big cliffhanger. So alas, some of those people at the wedding may need to make that chant again in the future.
As for when season 3 will premiere, there’s a little bit of uncertainty there. Maybe The CW will keep their Monday-night lineup the same, but ultimately the reality here is that we could easily see it changing in some way since the network has so many shows on their roster right now for the fall. Maybe it gets shifted around, or aired in a format where there are bunches that run straight through with another show in between. Hopefully, we’ll get a chance to learn a thing or two more when we get around to the CW upfronts coming later this month.
Of course, we’ll also have some more news on the finale and the future as time passes. Stay tuned!
