‘Quantico’ season 2 spoilers: Will Priyanka Chopra’s Alex join the CIA?

At the end of Sunday night’s “Quantico” season 1 finale, we had a rather interesting offer handed down to Priyanka Chopra’s character of Alex Parrish: Join the CIA. She wasn’t given a whole lot of time to make the decision, and for the record, we still don’t know if she took it and opted away from that lengthy vacation with Ryan.

So is she going to say yes? It certainly seems like it. Speaking to TV Guide in a new interview, executive producer Josh Safran had the following to pass along on the subject:

“I’ve always been interested in how our different government organizations work with each other and how they all work with the same goal in mind, but they go about it in different ways. The CIA is very much about getting information and figuring things out before they happen and before they grow into something that will be a bigger problem, whereas the FBI is very much about an immediate problem that arises that they need to fix or keep under control. They work together really well and I thought that was something I hadn’t really seen before. That’s what’s we’re going to be dealing with in Season 2.”

What also should make this story interesting, provided that Alex does join the FBI, is that it’s something that really has not been completely overdone just yet. There is a little bit of room for the writers to come up with ideas that have not necessarily been done on these sort of shows before, and we’ve seen a lot of similar ones over the years.
