‘Game of Thrones’ season 6, episode 4 preview: Theon Greyjoy’s surprise reunion

There are a few things that we definitely did not expect going into “Game of Thrones” season 6, and one of them happened to be seeing Theon Greyjoy departing Sansa Stark’s company. We felt like given their shared experience, he was going to be invested in trying to protect her and then some.

However, what Theon seems to acknowledged at this point is that he may just be one of those people who is beyond redemption, and with that in mind, there may not be much of a path for his future other than just going back and revisiting his past. Therefore, he is heading back home.

The photo above features Alfie Allen’s character alongside Yara Greyjoy, and given what we saw recently in the Iron Islands, it certainly feels as though the two have quite a bit to discuss. While Theon may not be necessarily leader material, we do think that he does have a lot of wisdom that he can impart at this point to his sister in terms of what he learned while he was away, whether it be his treatment by the hand of Ramsay Bolton, fleeing with Sansa, or seeing the arrival of Brienne, who seems to be taking over for Sophie Turner’s character in his place.

We’ll see more of precisely what happens tonight when the show airs on HBO; as per usual, we will have a full review online for it not long after it finishes airing. Be on the lookout for this shortly!
