‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 7 wishlist: McGarrett, Danny recover and more

Friday night marked the end of “Hawaii Five-0,” but the good news here is this: It’s far from the end of the road for the series. There is at least one more season to come this fall, which means that there are likely dozens of new stories, twists, turns, and much more.

So what do we personally want to see on the upcoming episodes? Take a look at our short wishlist below.

1. A closer bond for Danny, McGarrett – Sure, the two were close before in some ways, but given that they basically now share the same liver, that has to be the sort of thing that really does bring two people closer together. They’re both heroes in their own way, and they’ll be back out there in the field before long.

2. The Max mystery – Will Masi Oka be back for season 7? His character went on sabbatical at the end of season 6, and there’s no clear indication one way or another just yet. We do hope that if he is back, the show does give him a little bit more to do.

3. More guest stars – One way or another, this show has given us everyone from Carol Burnett to Nick Jonas to Willie Garson. With this setting, they can attract an interesting crop of people who maybe wouldn’t appear on other shows. This is “more of the same” for this show, but they really aren’t doing anything wrong.

4. More crossover events – Why not? We like that there are several CBS shows in a shared universe, and we’d love to see that played around with even more than we’ve seen so far. It helps to give this show more stories that stand out.
