‘Outlander’ season 2, episode 7 preview: The quest to save Caitriona Balfe’s Claire, her unborn child

On this weekend’s new episode of “Outlander,” we saw Claire Fraser put into a desperate state as it became clear that she as starting to lose her baby. This carries directly into the next new installment, but it turns out that this will not be the only thing that Caitriona Balfe’s character has to deal with.

As the synopsis below for next weekend’s new episode reveals, we’re going to end up seeing the story regarding King Louis and his pursuit of those who practice the dark arts come to a head in a rather dramatic, emotional way:

“Claire is brought to L’Hopital Des Anges where doctors try to save her life and that of her unborn baby.  King Louis asks Claire to judge two men accused of practicing the dark arts – one an enemy, one a friend.”

Is it certainly possible that we will see the continuation in the Jacobite Rebellion story in this episode, as well? It certainly feels that way, but these synopses can only be so long. Seeing Claire front and center in these two separate crises is a different dynamic for the show, and it makes some sense that these would therefore be the stories worthy of a little bit of promotion for the time being.

Rest assured that this will be far from the only thing that we have to say on this episode; we’ll be back within a couple of days with not only some more reaction, but also a video preview and eventually also ratings, as soon as they become available.
