‘Silicon Valley’ season 3, episode 4 preview: Erlich has competition

Silicon ValleyThe second season of “Silicon Valley” is now coming off of arguably its strongest episode, and there is one simple reason for that: Richard Hendricks’ attempts to form a secret skunkworks company underneath Pied Piper to devise and work on the platform. He was going to deliver that to Jack Barker, and ultimately put him in a position where there would be no way for him to avoid going forward with that concept.

Well, the problem is now that this all blew up majorly in Richard’s face, and he is now in a position where he needs to fight to even ensure that he still has a job, let alone that he is able to do what he wants. In the promo for the next new episode (view here), we see that Richard does still have one thing up his sleeve: Threatening Barker that if he gets rid of him, there will be no team who can build him the whole “box” idea that he thinks is going to make the company commercially viable in the near future.

Also in this episode, Erlich is going to uncover a little bit of a rude awakening when he learns that he has some new-found and surprising competition in the whole incubator business. Another familiar face is going to be starting up something similar, and in turn maybe making it harder for him to get some easy money on the concepts of some other people.

Oh, and we are still waiting to see if there is any more continuation in the epic story of Dinesh’s chain.
