‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 7: Premiere date speculation and much more for CBS series
Tonight, “Hawaii Five-0” is surfing off into the sunset for its season 6 finale, and with that, we’re of course going to take a moment or two and start to look ahead at what could be a very important year for the franchise.
The seventh season of any show is in some ways the trickiest. Many network contracts run for six seasons with an option for the seventh; we don’t know if that is the case specifically here, but there could be many negotiations and such that take place before a season 8 is ordered. That’s when you see many shows end after their seventh season in that it’s expensive to continue them.
Are we saying that next season for “Hawaii Five-0” will be its last? Far from it, but this is the time that you have to start being a little bit more cognizant about these sort of things, given that the ratings also are not entirely stellar and we’ve been worried about this show for a good two years now.
In terms of potential return dates for the show, expect to see Danny and McGarrett back on the air come around late September or early October. This is when it tends to premiere, and we haven’t gotten any indication from CBS that there is a shortened run of episodes coming up or it is moving to a new night. Therefore, we have to presume that it is going to be business as usual as we press further along into the series’ run.
