Is ‘Blue Bloods’ season 6 new tonight on CBS? Looking ahead
Do you love “Blue Bloods” on CBS? We certainly understand if you do, but we come bearing some bad news if you were expecting a new episode of the show on the network tonight: It’s not happening. Heck, it’s not happening for a long time.
Last week brought us the season 6 finale, and it was a quiet, rather-muted episode that focused more on Frank and police politics than tracking down some killer or prolific character. We preferred that in some ways than what other shows out there have been doing, i.e. the same thing time and time again. It was a nice change of pace, which is something that “Blue Bloods” offers viewers time and time again. There’s a reason that fans love this show as much as they do!
Unfortunately, there are only 22 episodes a season, and tonight CBS is airing the finale for “Hawaii Five-0” instead of the Tom Selleck series. We imagine that filming for season 7 will more than likely begin when we get around to the middle of the summer, since that is when things tend to start to really get going in New York City with this show. It should be back in either late September or early October, depending of course on what this show decides that it wants to do for this particular season and if they are happy with the Friday schedule.
As always, we’re going to give you some further updates when it comes to the season 7 story and what lies ahead throughout the summer, though at the same time, we caution you that there may not be that much revealed. After all, this show has one of the quietest sets out of any in the business in terms of major scoop getting out.
