‘Shark Tank’ video: Is VP Cabs cool enough to make price irrelevant?

Shark Tank -Every loves pinball. Well, that may be somewhat of an overstatement, but it is definitely the sort of entertainment that has a nostalgia place in the hearts of many that are out there. It’s with that that we understand why VP Cabs exists and is coming on “Shark Tank.” It’s a way to capture using digital technology the feel of being at a pinball machine without actually having one. It has many of the sale buttons and functions, but it uses an ever-changing screen to give you different challenges. All of their machines are custom-made, which makes you feel more like you are getting a top-of-the-line product.

In the sneak peek below, you can see the Sharks all go completely crazy over the idea, and we do understand why. It’s super-cool!

We just hope they continue to feel this same way once they stop for a minute and consider the price. You’re looking at over $3,000 for any of their models, and their top-of-the-line ones are over twice that. They probably don’t have to sell nearly as many to turn a big profit as other businesses, but there are not going to many as many consumers other than big businesses or really rich people like the Sharks.

Granted, there is one other thing to consider here, and that is that upon our research real pinball machines are not any cheaper. Some are even more expensive. In 2016, there may just not be many ways to get the enjoyment of pinball without paying for it. We’ll see if a Shark bites.
