‘America’s Got Talent’ video: New look at Simon Cowell, some of the acts!

This season of “America’s Got Talent” will be here come May 31, and based on the new promo below, we’re going to have a chance to see a wacky assembly of acts. There will be some good ones, and there will probably also some that make you roll your eyes.

The biggest sell of the promo for those of you who are looking for something different this season is the presence of Simon Cowell on the panel alongside Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Heidi Klum. Is he a great gauge of talent? It definitely seems that way, given that he has helped Susan Boyle, Paul Potts, and many others from the British version of the show find big careers. He obviously has done plenty with “The X Factor,” as well.

What we are more curious about at this point is what Simon is going to bring from an entertainment perspective, given that there is so much of him that we’ve seen over the years. Consider the nine seasons of “American Idol,” the multiple seasons of “Britain’s Got Talent,” and both the American and British versions of “The X Factor.” What does he have in the tank that we haven’t heard already? Part of the fun of Howard Stern is that he was someone who hadn’t been in this particular arena before, so you didn’t quite know what to expect from him.

With all of this being said, we’re definitely still going to be watching with great excitement to see what unfolds.
