‘NCIS’ season 13, episode 24 (finale) promo: ‘Family First’ promo all about Michael Weatherly’s Tony

For those of you who are “NCIS” fans, you know already what sort of situation we’re about to get into for the big finale next week. “Family First” is the last for Michael Weatherly as Tony, at least as a main character. We will continue to contend that we likely get a chance to see him at some point as a guest star for a milestone episode down the road, but it probably won’t be for a while.

We’re not even going to pretend that the promo gives much away. It’s more of a send-off to the character, what he’s done, and the nature of some of the goodbyes that are ahead. He shares an emotional moment with Abby, and Gibbs also tells him to take care of himself. We hope that he also has little moments in here with people like Jimmy, McGee, and Ducky, given how long they’ve all been a part of the show.

As for Ziva, we’re sure she will be involved in the story somewhat, but likely offscreen since Cote de Pablo has already said she is not returning.

Above all else, the one thing we hope for in this hour is that Tony gets a chance to leave in a way that makes him out to be the hero we know that he is, and also something that makes it clear that there are bigger and better things ahead for the character. We always want to imagine that he is going to be able to move on and tackle the next challenge.
