‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3, episode 20 video: Hive’s ’emancipation’ plan
On Tuesday night’s new episode of “Agents of SHIELD,” there is one thing that could be said: Public sentiment towards Inhumans is not exactly great. It feels reminiscent over the very first “X-Men” movie in some ways, where there is a large division of the public very opposed to the idea of these people being out there. As a result of that, they’re going to do everything in their power in order to discredit or blast them at every turn.
We even see some of that in the sneak peek below, as Hive has apparently decided to “emancipate” some people from their humanity who don’t exactly have great feelings towards the Inhumans. He’s building his own army, and with Daisy now at his side, they are gearing up for a dangerous conclusion.
Are the events of “Captain America: Civil War” going to factor into the show? Certainly, but not as much as “The Winter Soldier” impacted season 1 seemingly. We’d say that this lies somewhere in between that movie and “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” in season 2. It’s something that the writers for this show do have to keep themselves relatively aware of, since Marvel does have a habit of putting their feature films out in theaters not too long before this show finishes up its season. Timing is one of the reasons we suspect the films are not tied further to the show; after all, there are only a few episodes left here, and that doesn’t exactly give the show a lot of time to throw wrenches into the system.
