‘Game of Thrones’ season 6, episode 4 preview: Peter Dinklage, Lena Heady, and ‘Book of the Stranger’

Tyrion -Given that “Game of Thrones” is based off of a book series by George R.R. Martin (though admittedly we’re head of them at this point on the show), doesn’t it make sense that we’d be talking about books next week? Well technically, we’re dealing with an episode entitled “Book of the Stranger,” and it’s admittedly one at the moment that we don’t exactly know a heck of a lot about. HBO is remaining coy about what to expect beyond the synopsis below:

“Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) strikes a deal. Jorah (Iain Glen) and Daario (Michiel Huisman) undertake a difficult task. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Cersei (Lena Headey) try to improve their situation.”

Much like a certain book that many people talk about in America, the Book of the Stranger has many religious undertones in its own right. We don’t want to say too much at the moment about this here for sake of spoilers / leading people down the wrong path, but this is a very deliberate move on the part of the show’s producers in order to ensure that this episode has book fans thinking a certain way.

One other thing to think about here, rather unfortunately, is that we’re getting close to being a third of the way through this season.

As per usual, the promo below gives you a little more news as to what to expect, and in true fashion this is really more or less one lengthy highlight reel for all of the various stuff that is to come. (Seriously, Rickon Stark tonight??! We know that this isn’t really a part of the promo, but still.)
